I read a book called “of mice and men” which was published in the year 1937. This book was written during the great depression. The two main characters in the book are lennie and George. They were farm worker on a ranch and they have a dream that one day they are going to have their own ranch with rabbits, pigs and sheep. They find work on a ranch near Soledad after escaping from weed because of lennies incident. In the farm many character were loneliss expect slim, slim said that he had a good life and other thing. Some of the lonely characters in the book are candy, an old man with only one arm, Curley’s wife and crooks. George and lennie are friends who travel together. George is intelligent. George has to take parental role of looking after lennie. Lennie is not smart enough but he is giant. He is really kind man with his huge physical strength. He doesnt know how powerful he is and he spent his time playing with pups
